Linda Blair plays Carol, a young woman who must serve 18 months in prison after killing a man (by accident). The prison turns out to be brimming with decadence, corruption and sleaze, where the other female inmates are sadistic crack-selling lesbian rapists and the guards and warden are no better. Racial tensions are high as the inmates is divided into two factions, blacks and whites, who must either join together against the management or kill each other trying. A sleazy blend of sexploitation and blaxploitation make this movie a real winner.

Sports an all-star exploitation cast with Linda Blair, Linda Blair's boobies, ANIMAL HOUSE's Dean Wormer John Vernon as the cokehead warden who records his sexual exploits with the inmates on a security camera to make homemade porn, Stella Stevens as the evil prison matron, Henry Silva as her lover who smuggles the women out of prison to be whores at rich peoples parties- then smuggles them back in, Sybil Danning as the leader of the white gang and blaxploitation legend Tamara Dobson as the leader of the black gang.

A great, fun, low-budge 80's WIP classic!

I would have enjoyed this movie a lot more if Linda Blair wasn't so damned fugly.

Childhood memories of this. Parents had this recorded off of HBO from the 80's on VHS. Ended up watching it like a billion times when I was a kid, showed it to friends, etc. Re-watched it this year, fucking terrible piece of shit movie...and I mean that in the best possible way.

Still have it on that blank VHS.

I watched this all the time on vhs with my brother and cousin. Fun times.

Linda Blair has been in quite a few good exploitation films. Red Heat is pretty good, it's similar to Chained Heat but it's more of a Nazi flick.

Has anyone seen Born Innocent? It's the film she did after The Exorcist. It's about a 14 year old runaway in a juvenile detention centre and includes a girl-on-girl rape involving a broom handle...

Blair is an awesome woman. I met her at the Texas Frightmare con - she signed my Chained Heat triple boxset, and we had a few words about animals and vegetarianism. She sincerely wants me to go vegan, but that is too much discipline for this guy.

Chained Heat had remained one of my favorite WIP films... The Japanese takes kinda outshined it... but it always has a special place in my heart. Like Reform School Girls, Women in Fury(Brazilians are some freaky arse folk), and Bad Girls Dormitory(not in league, but it's cheese you cannot deny).
