Someone is strangling coeds in Rome. The only clue is that the killer owns a red and black scarf, and police are stumped. American exchange student Jane and her friends decide to take a break from classes by going up to Danielle's uncle's villa in the country. Unfortunately the killer decides to follow, and the women begin suffering a rapid attrition problem.

My favorite giallo movie ever, and in my top 3 of favorite Italian movies.

Sergio Martino's best!

DISAGREE!

YOUR VICE is by far the more complicated, narratively interesting and visually superior film. Completely unconventional in it's handling of the giallo standards, YOUR VICE is infinitely more rewarding and challenging. TORSO is Martino's most accessible giallo for today's viewers and also his least taxing. A true proto-slasher, TORSO typifies the styles and excesses of the later-day gialli and requires little more than passive viewership from it's audience.

A great little film, a so-so giallo, and definitely an indication of where the giallo was headed and all that it would leave behind.

I love the last half but the first is a little so-so for me.

It def drags a lot. The payoff is cool, but it's got way too much boring exposition going on.

a nice giallo with a slasher feel to it. just saw it for the first time a couple weeks back, and i was impressed. i had wanted to see it for a while and heard alot of good about it so my expectations were high, and it held up.

Those last 20 or so minutes, when the killer is in the house and she is stuck upstairs. Perfection in film making in my opinion.

Tense.

It reminded me a lot of the house invasion in Haute Tension. It has some really similar things going on.

Shame on me, but I have never seen this one. I have quite a few giallos but I forgot to get this one. Is it worth buying?

It's quite a lot trashier than most in terms of cinematography and style but I guess that's part of it's charm. It looks more like Bay of Blood than Martino's other gialli for example.

I'd say it's worth getting.

100% worth the buy. It isn't amazing, but it is a solid Giallo from Martino.

One of the many reasons why I loved Haute Tension.

YES! Got a copy of Amazon for $15.....anchor bay version...super excited!

A lot of people don't like this giallo that much, but i think it is great. As someone said, it is more trashy in style, but i do like trashy films a lot. Plus its got all the benefits of a great giallo... thrills, erotic mystery, great kills....Plus i don't hesitate to say this film has some of the hottest Italian broads I've ever seen Very Happy
