I just got my uni loan so I'm picking up the 18 movie Russ Meyer box set. Epic win?

I'm pretty much a noob so talk about the man (and mammaries) here!

I watched Beneath The Valley Of The Ultra Vixens one handed.
I think one of Russ Meyers quotes was "what the public wants is big laughs and big tits, its a good job i like both"!! What a guy!!!!

Goddamn it! I keep hitting "EDIT" instead of "QUOTE"! Mad

Sorry for temporarily fucking up Col. Morty's post.

You know, I've only actually seen 3, but I love 'em enough to consider myself a big fan.

Just watched BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS for the 20,000,000th time a few nights ago.

Never, ever gets old.

That dialogue, man... bom

Ive got the major hots for Cynthia Myers...

Incidentally, BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS was Pam Grier's 1st film appearance. It was only a walk-on role though.

I've only seen Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and Faster Pussycat, but I loved them both. I plan to watch Dolls again soon actually...

Uschi Digard from BENEATH THE VALLEY OF THE ULTRA-VIXENS and SUPERVIXENS does it for me

She had an uncredited part in Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS and also turned up in Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks.

I cannot believe no one has mentioned Up! or Mudhoney! Hands down, those are my two favorites up there with Beyond the Valley of the Dolls!!! "My name is no Z-MAN! It's superwoman!!!"

I just watched Motor Psycho and I didn't know Meyer could get so mean spirited! I enjoyed it though. I find his films without nudity to be just as erotic as the ones with it.

Yeah it was pretty expensive. $110 or so. It took me forever to finally decide on whether I should buy it or not, but I'd say it was worth it.

Movies don't get much better than BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS.

I think Faster Pussycat is really overrated, I adored Motor Psycho much more, I loved Eve and the Handyman, Up!, Mudhoney, The Vixen series, ahh they are all great!

I watched "Faster Pussycat Kill Kill" and loved it, I'm really tempted to buy the Russ Meyer box set but I'm not sure, it doesn't contain "Beyond the valley of the dolls" that i want to see. I might rent valley of the dolls separately and a few other titles of his and think about buying it then. Any recommendations of titles i should rent?

Mudhoney and Motorpsycho are great, Up! is stupidly great, can't go wrong with the Vixen series although some are better than others...

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Seven Minutes and Pandora Peaks are the Meyers to avoid IMO. The first 2 are part of a 3 pic deal he had with Fox, and the pressure to clean up his act was really on. Meyer worked so much better on his lonesome. Peaks, his last film, is just plain boring. How do you make huge tits boring?

Get a Tinto Brass collection going, to parallel your Meyer flicks. He's done a lot of wild assed stuff too.
